A Brian Grubb and Scott "Butch" Bouchard concept features woven carbon construction.

Brian Grubb and Scott Bouchard have created some of the most successful surf shapes in the Hyperlite line up. The Ranger is the latest addition to their history of success. The Ranger is a full woven carbon DuraShell construction making it the lightest and most responsive surfer ever created with Hyperlite's exclusive Durashell construction process. DuraShell boards are some of the most durable on the market as well, perfect for a high-end board like the Ranger. Scott Bouchard combined the speed of a sharper rail with the loose, surfy feel of a round rail in the new hybrid rail design. This new rail offers the best of both creating a unique ride. The Ranger can be ridden in different fin configurations, providing surf or skim characteristics.
