This WakeMAKERS exclusive Factory Ballast Upgrade replaces the existing ballast bags in your 2017-2022 Yamaha 212X with our DirectFIT Series ballast bags that maximizes the locker space for increased capacity and an improved wake.

WakeMAKERS exclusive Factory Ballast Upgrade Kits are built and designed to unleash the full potential of your Yamaha 212X's wake. It takes more than just the stock ballast to achieve the wake you've always wanted. You want an improved wake because it is proven to make for a more enjoyable wakesurfing and wakeboarding experience.

Our aftermarket ballast solutions increase the overall capacity of your boat's factory ballast system for improved performance while keeping the convenience of controlling all ballast with the switches at your dash. The ballast bags included in your Factory Ballast Upgrade are integrated into your boat's existing ballast system for automated filling/draining.

The WakeMAKERS FIT Series ballast bags included in your upgrade kit has been specially tailored to have a proper fit in your rear lockers. A correct fitting bag shape ensures maximized capacity, easy integration, and better results for your wake. The provided ballast bags include everything required for use in your 2017-2022 Yamaha 212X. The ballast bags can be easily removed for winterization and routine maintenance.

Better than the transom fatsac

These are better than the transom fatsac and external pump you can purchase as far as speed goes. However, it's not exactly plug and play. On my 2020 212x the connext system won't adjust far enough to fill these bags, so I had to go with external timers and switches. Also needed extra hose and fittings to route the fill/drain line properly. If you have the hard tanks you will need supports which wakemakers sells. The plug and wake kits plugged directly into my factory pumps, so that was nice. This kit is a step in the right direction and feel with a couple iterations it'll be perfect. I will say wakemakers support was great as there was a decent amount of trial and error. Which means ordering some parts and sending them back for others. I'm glad this project is done and ready to enjoy the summer.
