This WakeMAKERS Factory Ballast Upgrade seamlessly integrates our FIT Series ballast bags into your Malibu's factory Plug N Play system to increase the overall capacity and produce an improved wake.

WakeMAKERS exclusive Factory Ballast Upgrade Kits are built and designed to unleash the full potential of your Malibu's wake. It takes more than just the stock ballast to achieve the wake you've always wanted. You want an improved wake because it is proven to make for a more enjoyable wakesurfing and wakeboarding experience.

Our aftermarket ballast solutions increase the overall capacity of your boat's factory ballast system for improved performance while keeping the convenience of controlling all ballast with the switches at your dash. The ballast bags included in your Factory Ballast Upgrade are integrated into your boat's existing ballast system for automated filling/draining.

The WakeMAKERS FIT Series ballast bags included in your upgrade kit has been specially tailored to have a proper fit in your rear lockers. A correct fitting bag shape ensures maximized capacity, easy integration, and better results for your wake. The provided ballast bags include everything required for use with the optional AutoVent System on 2017+ Malibu boats. The ballast bags can be easily removed for winterization and routine maintenance.

In conjunction with your Malibu's SurfGate, the increased capacity of your factory ballast system after this installation will drastically improve the size of your surf wake.

Every WakeMAKERS Factory Ballast Upgrade is designed to be a user-friendly DIY install that can be completed in your garage over the course of an afternoon. The WakeMAKERS ballast bags included in this upgrade kit go in the rear lockers and seamlessly integrate into your existing Plug N Play system using Flow Rite Quick Release Connectors. The result is a better wake with an improved shape and increased size, making for a more enjoyable wakesurfing and wakeboarding experience.

Automated Filling + Draining

Designed to directly integrate into your boat’s existing factory ballast system, the additional ballast bags included in this WakeMAKERS Factory Ballast Upgrade will simultaneously fill and drain with your factory ballast tanks. The switches at your boat’s helm will be used to control both the factory ballast and WakeMAKERS ballast bags in conjunction for a smooth, automated process.
