Useful in tight installation locations where clearance in the bilge compartment prohibits the installation of an aerator pump or hose connection directly to the thru-hull and ball valve.
With a solid bronze construction for durability, corrosion resistance and compatibility with bronze thru-hulls and ball valves. The bronze street elbow can be installed either between the thru-hull and the ball valve, or after the ball valve depending on clearance and available space.
Smooth sweep won't impact flow as much as a sharp 90 degree bend, so performance decrease is minimal if at all. Purchase this part with the rest of your ballast system components for a fully integrated solution that is designed to work together.

A helpful option.
If you need to use a 90*, this is the one to get. Worked great on my install. FYI, If you are installing your thru-hull intake, you don't need to spin this on to install it. (which would take about a 6" clear radius) You can just hold it in place and turn the thru hull fitting (through the boat) to tighten it, then tighten the thru hull fitting down. This should open up more options for intalls: you can get it closer to objects like oil pans, or other pumps, fittings, etc.

Great in tight spaces
I didn't have room in my bilge to install the new pump upright. The street elbow allowed me to install it laying down, works great in those tight spaces.
