Make a secure, water-tight, yet quickly removable connection to your ballast bag with 1" or 1-1/8" hose.

This female connector is one half of the connection that is needed to make a secure and water-tight connection to the ballast bag, that comes apart quickly for fast service.

Use with 1" or 1-1/8" hose for compatibility with high-flow aerator and reversible pumps and the ballast bag of your choice with the mating male quick connect fitting that threads in the bag (see recommended accessories). This elbow quick release connector has a 1-1/8" hose barb fitting on one side and the Flow-Rite Qwik-LOK female end on the other that will connect directly to the compatible 1" Flow-Rite Quick Release Connect offered for various ballast bag brands. Perfect for integrating ballast bags into an automated ballast system, or for replacing a damaged factory fitting that came in your boat.

Using With 1" Ballast Hose

If you are using this fitting with 1" ballast hose, the end section of the hose must be heated with a heat gun for it to securely fit over this fitting. For more information and guidance on this process, read our article on How-To Fit 1-1/8" Fitting in 1" hose.

Perfect fit

Upgraded bags were bought used and had to upgrade connections from 1/2 to 1 inch. These were a perfect fit for my new bags!

Fixed it

Had a straight connector which caused my line to kink and pulled the fitting from the sac which leaked water into the boat. Installed this 90-degree elbow and it's working like it's supposed to now.
