One of the two proper adhesives to use on thruhulls...
The two adhesives you should use for thruhulls are 3M 4000 (this one) and 3M 5200. The main difference between them is permanence: While 4000 can be removed with some effort, 5200 may as well be like welding the fitting to the hull! In my opinion everything on a boat is likely to need maintenance someday, so I don't want to make that future job any harder than necessary.
Hence my use of 3M 4000. It's absolutely watertight, rated for use below the waterline, and specifically intended for use with modern hull materials (including fiberglass) and thruhull materials. 3M is the leader in this segment of the chemical industry, and once again WakeMakers only stocks and ships the best.
