loving the 2020 Hammerhead 50"
I was really curious as to how the 2020 "peanut-shaped" Hammerhead would ride compared to the 2019, which I really like. The bottom line is that it seems as of the first day out on it to be literally better in every way. More pop off the top of the wave, excellent stability even with the tiny 0.8 fins. And the big one for me; 360's. On 360s, I have struggled to stay on the wave., and to rotate consistently. Somehow the 2020 Hammerhead stays on there and seems to rotate more consistently. I nailed four 360's day one. I love it and am really glad I moved up to the 2020. FYI the size guide says the 50' Hammerhead is good up to 5' 11" and 175 lbs. I am 5' 11" and 174 lbs, and it does not seem close to being too small. My sense of it is that you could be heavier by another 10+ pounds, and it would still be good to go.
