Great fit in MasterCraft ski locker
I have a 500 lb. Straight Line Sumo Hidden Under Bow Bag under the bow seats of my 1998 MasterCraft Maristar 210 and was looking to add a bit more bow weight to balance my rear weight of 1,500 lbs. The Sumo Sac 325 fit the bill nicely. My ski locker is 12 inches wide, just over 12 inches high, and 78 inches long, but the Sumo Sac conformed to the inside of the locker and fills to full capacity. My locker is more narrow than the Sumo 325, but the squeeze of the sides of the Sumo Sac just caused the sac to rise higher as it filled. Instead of the stated height of 8 inches, the sac rises to 12 inches. That is perfect for me because it stops just short of lifting my ski locker lid.
I fill and drain my 500 lb. sac under my bow seats with an integrated Johnson Ultra Ballast pump and just put a Tee into the fill/drain hose going to the main sac. Although the fill/drain hose going to my main sac is 1 inch, the line going from the Tee to the Sumo Sac 325 is just 3/4 inch. That is fully adequate. The 3/4 inch hose was a lot easier to run down to my ski locker. I also added a quarter-turn PVC valve to turn off the Sumo Sac 325 if I want to keep it either empty or full when I fill or drain the main under-seat sac.
When this sac is empty, I pile water skis on top of it. Even though the skis have metal fins, the sac stands up to the abuse. There aren't a lot of places where you need a long, skinny sac like this one. But if you have such a need, this bag is great.
